Fun Family Cooking Activities with We Feed You Share Packs

We know first hand that school holidays are always a juggle and they come around quickly each term.  Keeping the kids entertained while also feeding the family and juggling work can be relentless. We've got a suggestion that can not only keep the kids busy but also fed!

Our chef-Made Share Packs are ready to heat, leaving kids to get creative with their choice of sides. They can get creative, and design a complete meal for the family.  It's a great way to get them in the kitchen, keep them busy, spark imagination, and help to take the pressure off mealtime.


How the We Feed You School Holiday Meal Challenge Works

  1. Pick your Share Pack hero: choose from Butter Chicken, Italian Baked Chicken, Slow Cooked Beef, Bolognese Sauce, Beef Rogan Josh, Mexican Pulled Pork, or Braised Moroccan Chicken.

  2. Add sides: grains, veggies, pasta, wraps, or salads.

  3. Let the kids take charge: they can mix, match, plate it up and even name their creation.

  4. Snap and share: show us your family feast on social media. Tell us:

    • What ingredients you used

    • How you pulled it together

    • How the family rated it (bonus points for creativity!)

Easy & Creative School Holiday Meal Ideas

Here are some ways to use our Share Packs - with an easy option for quick dinners and a more adventurous twist when you’ve got extra time.

Butter Chicken Feast

  • Easy: Serve with rice, naan, and a quick cucumber raita.

  • Adventurous: Turn into a butter chicken pie with puff pastry and nigella seeds.

Italian Baked Chicken Night

  • Easy: Pair with pasta, roasted veggies, and garlic bread.

  • Adventurous: Add a rustic Italian salad with rocket, parmesan, and balsamic glaze.

Slow Cooked Beef Tacos

  • Easy: DIY tacos with tortillas, salsa, shredded lettuce, and cheese.

  • Adventurous: Make beef nachos with guacamole, sour cream, and jalapeños.

Bolognese Bake or Bolognese Mexican Rice Bowls 

  • Easy: Layer with pasta and cheese for a simple oven-bake.

  • Adventurous: Try stuffed capsicums or zucchini boats filled with bolognese.

Beef Rogan Josh 

  • Easy: Serve with steamed greens and fluffy basmati rice.

  • Adventurous: Create a rogan josh pie with spiced mashed potato topping.

Mexican Pulled Pork Wraps

  • Easy: Serve tortillas with corn, black beans, and avocado.

  • Adventurous: Make pulled pork quesadillas with cheese and salsa.

Moroccan Chicken Platter

  • Easy: Serve with couscous, roast pumpkin, and mint yoghurt.

  • Adventurous: Build a mezze board with falafel, hummus, pita, and tabbouleh.
