What It Means and Why It Matters
For people living with coeliac disease, gluten free food isn’t a preference or a trend - it’s a medical necessity. Yet in the rapidly growing ready meal market, genuinely safe gluten free options can be difficult to identify. Labels such as “no added gluten” or “free from added gluten” are common, but they don’t always reflect how a meal has been prepared or whether cross-contamination risks have been properly managed.
That’s why endorsement matters.
We Feed You is proud to announce that our full range of gluten free ready meals is endorsed by Coeliac Australia, giving customers access to over 55 gluten free meals they can trust, made in a dedicated gluten free kitchen, tested to strict standards, and delivered straight to their door.
What Does Coeliac Australia Endorsement Actually Mean?
Coeliac Australia endorsement is not a marketing badge, it’s a rigorous process designed to protect people with coeliac disease.
To be endorsed, meals must:
-
Be produced in a gluten free environment
-
Use ingredients that meet strict gluten free standards
-
Gluten testing with zero gluten detected
-
Undergo regular review and verification
For consumers, this endorsement provides independent assurance that the meals meet the standards required for people who must avoid gluten completely.
A Dedicated Gluten Free Kitchen
(Not Just Gluten Free Ingredients)
One of the biggest misunderstandings about gluten free food is the assumption that avoiding gluten ingredients is enough. In reality, the greatest risks often occur in the kitchen, not on the recipe card.
All We Feed You meals are:
-
Prepared in a dedicated gluten free kitchen
-
Made using gluten free cooking equipment and utensils
-
Stored, cooked and packed with strict protocols
This approach eliminates any risk that may come with cross-contamination in a shared environment. When gluten free and gluten-containing meals are prepared side by side, the risk is huge.
Why This Matters for People With Coeliac Disease
For someone with coeliac disease, even trace amounts of gluten can trigger an autoimmune response that damages the lining of the small intestine. Symptoms aren’t always immediate or obvious, but damage can still occur.
That’s why statements like “a little bit won’t hurt” or “just pick it off” are not only inaccurate, they’re dangerous.
Being endorsed by Coeliac Australia gives customers confidence that:
-
Gluten free means gluten free in practice, not just in name
-
Cross-contamination risks are taken seriously
-
The meals are suitable for people who need to avoid gluten entirely
As Tracey Emney, Co-founder of We Feed You, explains:
“We want our customers to shop and eat with complete confidence. There are providers out there who don’t understand the detrimental effect gluten can have for someone living with coeliac disease. Our endorsement with Coeliac Australia brings peace of mind and reassurance for those looking for meals that meet strict standards and testing.”

Thursday: Butter Chicken Curry, Beef Biryani or Beef Rogan Josh
-
Friday: Italian Baked Chicken or Spaghetti Bolognese

Clear Labelling and Kitchen Separation
To further reduce risk and confusion, We Feed You operates two completely separate kitchens.
-
White We Feed You packaging:
All meals are gluten free and endorsed by Coeliac Australia. -
Dark blue Kitchen Two packaging:
Meals are made in a separate kitchen and are not gluten free.
This clear visual distinction makes it easy for households ordering from both menus to quickly identify which meals are suitable — even straight from the freezer.
