- Cost-Effective Solutions: In most cases, the cost of meal preparation and delivery (70%) is covered by the Home Care Package provider, with the participant responsible for the cost of ingredients (30%). This arrangement makes accessing nutritious meals more affordable for seniors.

Getting Started with Support at Home Meal Delivery
1. Discuss with Your Care Provider
Begin by speaking to your Support at Home provider about having meals supplied by We Feed You. Your provider will check if we already have an existing agreement, or whether an agreement needs to be established. If approved, they will either send us a service request (support@wefeedyou.com.au) or complete our online sign up form to get started. Our support team will set you up with a dedicated account so you can order online or over the phone.

2. Understand the Cost Structure:

Eligibility Criteria for Support at Home Meals Delivered
To access Support At Home (SAH) meal delivery services in Australia, individuals must meet specific eligibility criteria:
- Age Requirement: Generally, individuals aged 65 and over are eligible. For Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people, the eligibility age is 50 and over.
- Assessment of Care Needs: Eligibility is determined through a comprehensive assessment by an Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) or Aged Care Assessment Service (ACAS). This assessment evaluates the individual's health, mobility, and daily living requirements to establish the appropriate level of care needed.
- Approval for a Support at Home Package: Post-assessment, if approved for a Support at Home Package, individuals can access various services, including meal preparation and delivery.
- Australian Residency: Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents to qualify for government-subsidised home care services.
It's important to note that while the preparation and delivery of meals can be funded through the Support at Home Programme, the cost of the food itself is typically paid by the individual.
