Movember

Posted by Charlotte Miller on

Hold on a mo! How did Movember creep up on us like that? Gentleman, it’s time to hang up your razor and grow with the flow (did you see what we did there?). Are you going for the Tom Selleck? Or the Freddie Mercury? A Merv Hughs? Perhaps you’re more of a Ron Burgundy kind of guy?

Movember is about raising funds and tackling mens health issues that often get swept under the carpet – prostate and testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention. There are lots of ways to take part in Movember, even if you’re follicularly challenged, or just not up for the big mo grow.

You could ‘Move for Movember’ by running or walking 60 kilometres over the month.  Team up and make it fun, or just punch out a couple of kms in your own time each morning! That’s 60 kilometres for the 60 men we lose to suicide each hour, every hour across the world.

Or you could host a mo-ment – whether it be cooking up a feast, or inviting the guys over for a barbeque or to watch a game. However you do it, the aim is to raise much-needed funds for men’s health, and stop men dying too young.

May the Merv be with you!
